Introduction

Clover UI is a collection of animated React components built with Tailwind CSS and Motion. Each one installs as source code with the shadcn CLI, so it is yours to read, change and ship.

It is not a package you import from node_modules. When you add a component, its file lands in your project next to your own code. There is no version to keep in sync and nothing hidden behind an API. If you want a different easing, color or size, open the file and change it.

Install Clover UI or browse the components in the sidebar.

What every component gives you

  • Source you own. The CLI copies a single file into your project and installs only what it needs, such as motion.
  • A live playground. Each page has a Customize panel to try colors, sizes and timing, then copy the exact code for what you see.
  • Light and dark mode. Components use your theme tokens like bg-background and text-foreground, so they follow your theme.
  • Reduced motion. Animations respect the visitor's prefers-reduced-motion setting.
  • Clean props. Every prop is typed and listed in a props table, with defaults that look good straight away.

How it works

Clover UI is a shadcn registry. Each component is published as a JSON file at https://cloverui.vercel.app/r/<name>.json. The shadcn CLI reads that file, writes the component into your components folder and installs its dependencies.

Because it uses the standard registry format, the same components also work with the shadcn MCP server, so your AI editor can search and install them for you.

Where to start

  1. Follow Installation to add the registry to components.json.
  2. Install one component by name, or all of them at once.
  3. Open any component page, adjust it in the playground and copy the code.
